Muscat - Trivandrum (OOMS - VOTV) | Flight 4

Auf geht's nach Trivandrum!

Start: 07:36 Uhr (MEZ)
Zweiter Versuch: 14:52 Uhr (MEZ)
Landung: 23:54 Uhr (MEZ)
Flugzeit: 9 Std 19min

We head for Trivandrum!

Departure: 07:36 Uhr (MEZ)
Second Try: 14:52 (MEZ)
Arrival: 23:54 (MEZ)
Flight time: 9 h 19 min

The heat is monstrous. We take off at 45°C in the plain sun. The inside of the aircraft has heatened up so much that we can barely stand it. The northern German summer knows only very, very few days above 30°C. Now we have 45°C. We're really not used to it. Did we mention the enourmous heat?

Since we're using the additional tank, our turtle pack, for this flight, we can't use the climate control during take-off and ascension. We can't activate the climate generator before reaching 19.000 ft. The moment, the first fresh breeze flows from the climate control, we are almost well-done... we need to cool off now...

The first setback: the turtle pack isn't operating properly. We have to turn around and fly to Muscat to have the turtle pack checked...

At the airport in Muscat everybody is busy and it takes a while until it's our turn. In the meantime we're received very friendly and can spend the waiting time in an air-conditioned room where we are served some coffee. We have the turtle pack issue fixed.

Next try. We start all over, but we'll reach Trivandrum not before the middle of the night.

We've made it to Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum). Thiruvananthapuram is located at the Malabar Coast in the south of India and is the capital of Kerala state. Mahatma Ghandi called Thiruvananthapuram an evergreen city. It's time to sleep now...
