Easter Island | Update 11

Update Osterinsel vom 04.10.17

Update Easter Island from 4.10.17

The weather changes 4-5 times a day: strong winds, hot sun and warm hours, warm like in spring with a soft breeze - all in one day!
But - however - that is no problem at all!

In the meantime, we all start to "run to seed" and to go into the ultra-modern vintage style: crumpled with hole and stains! Daring! BUT: snow-white, ironed pilot shirts are waiting for men's body in duty - but that still takes a while!

A specialist from Santiago from Aeropro Service and Support has agreed to come! Right now, the payment and ticket formalities are completed. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for AVGAS of St. Christopher! He would not have to go far - just to the other side of the airport - but he certainly does not come in - strictly off limits! But miracles happen - one must only be able to get them out ...

What we can do ourselves, we have done:

- rinsed the tanks twice more with AVGAS from the Turtlepack
- the spark plugs removed - all good - no damage
- Interiors cleaned and re-sorted
- Malibu caressed and soothed ... it wants to continue of course ...

Today, we met a double crew (10) of a Boeing 757, "Ferrari of the Commercial Jets", making a world tour with 68 passengers! We have exchanged information with the crew and they also want to follow our blog.

We know the island quite well already: in 1-2 hours you can go round with a rented car. We know the MAOI stone figures and they us: when we last went back and made a few shots, I had this feeling: I go past ONE and feel that he is alive! Then I turned with the camera real quick! And then I caught him! He looked at us ... Here is the proof: First he looks as always - but we have hardly passed when he thinks, well: "My God, are they still there?"
